Boomerang Farm Bike Park
Overview
Boomerang Farm Bike Park (locals call it "Boomers") is a privately-operated, gravity-focused mountain bike park set at the back of Boomerang Farm Golf Course in Mudgeeraba, in the Gold Coast Hinterland of southern Queensland. Operating since 2014 and managed by the Outlook Riders Alliance (ORA) — a volunteer not-for-profit club led by head trail builder Shane Flower — the park packs roughly 150 m of vertical descent across ~14 named trails and ~1.5 km of singletrack into a compact, shuttle-served hillside backing onto Springbrook National Park.
The trail mix is heavily gravity-oriented: three downhill tracks (Rodneys, DH2, DH3), a marquee freeride line (Blackout) plus a smaller freeride run, an enduro descent (Enduropedia), two dirt-jump lines, a dirt pump track, and progression-friendly options including a blue line (Medicare) and a green flow trail (Green Machine). B-lines around most gaps and drops mean a green-to-double-black spread on a single hill, so families and beginners can be on the same property as elite DH and freeride riders.
What sets Boomers apart in South East Queensland is the operating model: paid day-use on private land with Toyota troop-carrier shuttles Friday–Sunday, on-site café and bar, bike hire and protection through Just Ride, and a clubhouse vibe — all funded so that the majority of rider fees feeds back into excavator hire for new lines and features. Open Friday–Monday year-round (Thursday–Monday in school holidays), it functions as the Gold Coast's de facto bike park.

History & Background
- Park has been operating since 2014, making it one of the longest-running purpose-built gravity bike parks in South East Queensland.
- Built and maintained by the Outlook Riders Alliance, a volunteer not-for-profit established to run and progressively expand the trail network.
- Located at the rear of Boomerang Farm Golf Course on Johns Road, Mudgeeraba — the bike park uses the steeper hillside that backs onto Springbrook National Park.
- Continual reinvestment model: rider entry/shuttle fees go back into excavator hire and new trail construction, with new features added almost every year (sources: Bicycle Queensland, AMB Magazine).
- Regularly hosts gravity events — local downhill and gravity-enduro race rounds, "big-line" session days, and the annual Christmas Jam (live music + jump comps).
